This week has been really busy, so I didn't get to record the devotions, but you know what to do!
The Fifth Commandment
Invocation
Text/Memory
You shall not murder.
What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not hurt or harm our neighbor in his body, but help and support him in every physical need.
Devotional Thought
Instruction
When God says, “You shall not murder,” He means much more than actual killing. He doesn’t want us to harm another person’s body – nor should we harm our own. Sometimes people act like these bodies don’t matter, and that it is only spiritual things we should worry about, but God gave us our bodies and created us to be both body and soul, so we should not hurt or harm people.
The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Blessing
The grace of our Lord + Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with us all. Amen.
