Good Evening, Lord!

Words of Comfort

Prayer of Confession

Stay with us, Lord, for it is evening. Let Your holy presence bring to mind all my sins of the day, and let Your loving mercy keep me from being too embarrassed to confess them to You. You already know all my sins better than I do, anyhow, but give me courage to confess them to You as I cling to Jesus’ forgiveness which He won for me by His suffering and death on the cross. I confess to You tonight that I have …. Grant me forgiveness for Jesus’ sake. Amen.

Dear Father, please rescue us from every evil of body and soul, possessions and reputation, and finally, when our last hour comes, give us a blessed end, and graciously take us from this valley of sorrow to heaven, where will live eternally with You, and with Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, One God, now and forever. Amen.

The Sixth Commandment Invocation Text/Memory You shall not commit adultery. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we lead a sexually pure and decent life in what we say and do, and husband and wife love and honor each other.
