Friday Morning – 9/14
Good Morning, Lord!
I am baptized
Baptism … now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the
body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of
Jesus Christ. (1 Pet. 3:21 ESV)
Make the sign of the cross as you say, “In the name of the
Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”
Thank You For A New Day!
Good morning, Lord! As I wake this morning let my first
thoughts be about Your goodness and Your blessings. Today I will wear clothes,
eat food, live in a home, receive an education, and so much more because of
Your kindness and mercy. On top of all that, I get to know Jesus as my Lord and
Savior, my friend who helps and saves me. Thank You for this new day! Help me
live today in the power of the Holy Spirit and the faith He gives me for Jesus’
sake. Amen.
I Believe …
You shall have no other gods.
You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God.
Remember the Sabbath Day by keeping it holy.
Honor your father and mother.
You shall not murder.
You shall not commit adultery.
You shall not steal.
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house.
You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his manservant
or maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.

Prayer
Pray for those who
are sick, injured, grieving, dying, lonely, bullied, and experiencing
injustice.
O God, You are merciful and compassionate. You care about
every aspect of our lives. Today we pray for those who are sick and hurt,
especially … and …. Please heal them. We pray for those who are dying,
especially …. Please give them a blessed death filled with faith in Jesus and
hope in His resurrection. We pray for the grieving, especially …. Please
comfort them, give them courage, and sustain them with hope in the risen Jesus.
We pray for those who are lonely, left out, bullied, and mistreated, especially
…. Please be their friend and protector, and help me and others to be good to
them. We pray these things and ask that You answer our prayers for Jesus’ sake.
Amen.
Lord’s Prayer
Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven;
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom
and the power and the glory
forever and ever. Amen.
Benediction
Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling and to
present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, 25
to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty,
dominion, and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen. (Jude
1:24-25 ESV)
