Friday Evening
Good Evening, Lord!
Words of Comfort
[O God, You are] like a hiding place from the wind, a
shelter from the storm, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of
a great rock in a weary land. (Isa. 32:2 ESV)
Prayer of Confession
I confess my sin in Your presence, O God. I confess to God
Almighty, before the whole company of heaven, that I have sinned in thought,
word, and deed by my fault, by my own fault, by my own most grievous fault;
wherefore I pray God Almighty to have mercy on me, forgive me all my sins, and
bring me to everlasting life. Amen.[1]

Petitions of the Lord’s Prayer
“And lead us not into temptation.”
Father in heaven, You tempt no one. Please guard and keep us
so that the devil, the world, and our sinful nature may not deceive us or
mislead us into false belief, despair, and other great shame and vice. Although
we are attacked by these things, we pray that we may finally overcome them and
win the victory through Jesus, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Verse of Benediction
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and
the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Cor. 13:14 ESV)
