Wednesday Evening
Good Evening, Lord!
Words of Comfort
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You,
because he trusts in You. (Isa. 26:3 ESV)
Prayer of Confession
Father in Heaven, You teach us how to live, but many times
we don’t live as You expect us to. It isn’t always just about our behavior, but
it goes all the way to our heart. We are sinners, and that is why we sin. But You
have mercy on sinners, and that is why You sent Jesus, that in Him we might be
forgiven and made holy. Have mercy on us, and make us the people You want us to
be! Amen.

Petitions of the Lord’s Prayer
“Give us this day our daily bread.”
Heavenly Father, You give daily bread to everyone without
our prayers, even to all evil people, but we pray in this petition that God
would lead us to realize this and to receive our daily bread with thanksgiving.
Make us mindful of all that You give us that has to do with the support and
needs of the body, such as food, drink, clothing, shoes, house, home, land,
animals, money, goods, a devout husband or wife, devout children, devout
workers, devout and faithful rulers, good government, good weather, peace,
health, self-control, good reputation, good friends, faithful neighbors, and
help us to always give thanks to You; in Jesus name we pray. Amen.
Verse of Benediction
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and
the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all. (2 Cor. 13:14 ESV)
