September 11 - Morning

Tuesday Morning – 9/11

Good Morning, Lord!

I am baptized

And Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Acts 2:38 ESV)

Make the sign of the cross as you say, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

Thank You For A New Day!

Lord God, as the sun rises birds find their voices and sing. Help me as I awaken to lift my voice to You in thanks and praise for all of Your blessings. You kept me and my family safe as we slept, and now we get to live today as Your people. Bless us for the adventure of the day! We ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

I Believe …

I believe that God has made me and all creatures; that He has given me my body and soul, eyes, ears, and all my members, my reason and all my senses, and still takes care of them.

He also gives me clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, wife and children, land, animals, and all I have. He richly and daily provides me with all that I need to support this body and life.

He defends me against all danger and guards and protects me from all evil.

All this He does only out of fatherly, divine goodness and mercy, without any merit or worthiness in me. For all this it is my duty to thank and praise, serve and obey Him.

This is most certainly true.

A Bible Reading

Acts 2:38-41 p. 1273

Question for Meditation

What does this reading teach you about Jesus, what He said and did, or what He wants His followers to believe?

Memory Verse

[There is …] one Lord, one faith, one Baptism. – Ephesians 4:5

Prayer

Pray for teachers, your principal, the school staff and all who are in authority.
O God, as I get ready to go to school today there are teachers and staff who are also getting ready to go there. Please bless my teachers and help them to teach me well. Please bless … and … and …. Also be with our principal, …, who has to make sure everything runs smoothly and is responsible for discipline. Help him/her to be wise and fair. And please bless all the staff: the office workers, the custodians, the cafeteria workers, and anyone else who works so that I can learn in a good environment. Help my actions to show Your love and forgiveness today. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Lord’s Prayer

Our Father who art in heaven,
hallowed be Thy name,
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth
as it is in heaven;
give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those
who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For Thine is the kingdom
and the power and the glory
forever and ever. Amen.

Benediction

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thess. 5:23 ESV)
